If you’ve lived in your home for a number of years, you’ll know that nagging feeling of wanting to upgrade, downsize or perhaps change the space. Whereas some homeowners choose to move properties, this can be an incredibly stressful and costly experience. That’s why more and more people are looking to upgrade their homes through renovations and extensions, rather than up sticks and move.
That was the case for the homeowner at this particular property. Instead of moving, the couple decided to extend their space with an orangery, adding the much-needed square footage they’d originally hoped to gain from moving home.
Take a look at this magnificent orangery. On first glance, you may be surprised to learn that this is an extension and not a part of the original house. The materials chosen for this build were meticulously selected to blend perfectly with the original property so that the extension is virtually undetectable to the untrained eye.
The team at County chose a golden oak finish for the timbers, and grey slate for the roof.
The family at County now spend a great deal of time in the newly added orangery, and we don’t blame them. Two sets of elegant French doors were added to provide the perfect entry into the garden space, offering a fantastic setting to host family get-togethers and BBQs.
The homely feel of this orangery is further enhanced by the homeowners’ impeccable taste in interiors, with our tastefully installed pelmet lighting accentuating the decorative items throughout.
To add the finishing touch, County added concealed guttering plus rooftop peak and panelling in the same stunning golden oak finish. We think you’ll agree it looks stunning!
