We have lots of roof options for you to choose from…

Replacement

If your conservatory is old or brand new, whatever the shape, a solid roof can be specially designed and adapted to fit your extension. Any unusually shaped or particularly large conservatories  can be equipped with a bespoke solid roof which will offer exactly the same amount of warmth and comfort.

Conservatories

Lots of our new build conservatories are now being requested with a solid Warm Roof  rather than the glass or polycarbonate alternative. Solid roofs can be fit with good speed due to the many glazed facets present in the overall structure, far quicker than it would be in an extension that contains full height brick walls and a standard roof wrapper. Centre pivot roof windows and integrated down-lighters can fit into into the design to compensate for any loss of natural light suffered as a consequence of a solid roof.

Orangeries

Lots of configuration options make it possible for a solid roof to be fitted onto a new or existing orangery. From the aesthetics perspective of your orangery, it will only improve for the better, but what will significantly change for the better is the internal ambience which will feel far more welcoming and inviting than it did previously. The natural sunlight that filters through mounted spotlights and centre pivot roof windows will further add to the overall feel.

Extensions

The Warm Roof isn’t is great for conservatories and orangeries, but it can also be utilised in most other types of home extension as an alternative to the standard roof which takes longer to install and is usually more expensive. Lightweight tile and slate are the two roof coverings available, with many colour variations on offer so that the roof matches up to the roof of your home.

Porches

A porch installation will be a far quicker process should you opt to have a Warm Roof included, whether it happens to be a small or large project. Sleeker porches could be concluded within just a few hours due to the efficiency of the Warm Roof and the ease with which it can be incorporated into it.

A solid tiled roof brings multiple different benefits for your home…

Insulation

Naturally a solid roof brings more insulation than glass or PVC alternatives. You need your home improvements to be practical in terms of the energy efficiency and solid roof provides this throughout the year so that you can get the most out of it. The Warm Roof plays a vital role so far as keeping the structure insulated at all times, particularly as it is made up of rigid insulation board and insulated plywood.

Solid Look & Feel

There are definite benefits of a PVC or glass roof, but a solid roof provides something a little bit different from the perspective of internal ambience. Yes, it won’t allow quite as much natural sunlight to pass into the room, but it will still receive a generous quantity of it from sunrise till sunset. You will be astounded by just similar a lightweight roof looks to any traditional tiles or slates; in fact you will hardly any difference no matter how thorough you inspect them all.

Simple Fit

The installation of a Warm Roof is faster than you would probably expect due to it being pre-fabricated, meaning that it will only be a few hours before you can begin enjoying your living space.

A plasterboard or timber internal finish will work a treat…

The preferred internal finish for a Warm Roof is usually painted plasterboard as it offers a clean and spotless effect that you’ll never tire of. There are however other options available to you such as a timber clad ceiling which really shows its class in the winter due to the richness and texture of the dark shades emitting warm undertones. It gives you that cabin-like feel and act as a great accompaniment to any integrated roof windows or centre pivoting timber roof windows.

Centre pivot roof windows and a Warm Roof work together superbly…

Loss of natural sunlight that occurs as a result of having a Warm Roof can be a concern, however this issue can be vastly reduced in by integrating roof windows into the design, working in tandem with the traditional windows and doors. Whatever time of the day, you can expect to revel in sky views through the roof windows. They will also help in summer when ventilation is an absolutely must, helping keep every cool and at a comfortable temperature.

Tiles which are tough, cost effective and look great…

We offer two types of Warm Roof covering, lightweight tile and lightweight slate. Our lightweight tiles come in five varied colours, whilst our lightweight slate looks virtually identical to natural slate such is the amount of time and effort put into its production. Both are completely weather-proof and maintenance-free.

Lightweight Tile

Our lightweight tile is all that is needed to secure warmth in conservatories, orangeries, porches or other forms of home extension. It takes very little time to install and as far as maintenance is concerned, there’s none required. When it comes to choosing a suitable coloured lightweight tile, you can choose between umber, green, charcoal, red and ebony.

Lightweight Slate

Natural slate obviously looks incredible on a roof, but over time, it cracks and will cause significant maintenance issues which are a hassle and expensive. Our lightweight slate is designed to endure and suffers with no such problems, even years down the line. It also looks exactly like the real thing such is the amount of detail put into it, with curves and peaks present throughout the material. An impressive 20 colours are available including plum, brick red, stone black and pewter grey.

Tiled roof colours to complement…

Our lightweight tiles will work in perfect symmetry with any existing roof tiles when you select either of the five colour options we have available. Don’t be put off by the word ‘lightweight’ though as it offers a similar level of durability to that of a stone-coated steel.
